Beauty Regime - your 30's

Skincare: the 30's!

Are you approaching the big 3-0? Maybe you're already into your 30's like me. Regardless, times have changed and so has your skin. It has less elasticity and is craving moisture like no other. If you've ever woke up after a night of drinking and wondered why you can't recover like you used to...this post's for you. Water is more important than ever and your skin is less hydrated than it used to be. Blame it on the babies, the martini or just being too darn busy - this is my guide to healthy, glowing skin. {here's a skincare guide if you're in your 20's, too!}

  1. Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser: You won't have clogged pores any longer with this cleanser. It wipes away all impurities and it foams. Major points for that. And if you still breakout, don't sweat it - it contains salicylic acid to squash those pests!
  2. Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm: The older I get, the less steps I want to complete to get to the finished product. This serves as a moisturizer and foundation in one. It's a mineral based product and has light diffusing technology to create that glow on your not-so-glowiest-days.
  3. Neal's Yard Organic Facial Wipes: You could choose any brand really but I like these because they are organic. They contain soothing aloe vera and organic white tea and you won't feel guilty for being lazy and taking your make up off in bed.
  4. Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer: It's light and perfectly suitable for oily skin like mine. You can find it in most med spas or dermatology offices so you know it's good because the docs approve of it.
  5. Kiehl's Cucumber Herbal Toner: I love the brand as you've now witnessed. This product smells great and serves as a great prep before you apply moisturizer and makeup. It sort of feels like scrubbing your skin clean without the harshness.
  6. Sephora Collection Blotting Papers: Not all blotting papers are created equal. I do not like rice blotting papers. I need papers that absorb oils so I either choose this brand or Clean&Clear at the drug store. It's like applying a fresh coat of powder without the application. And who likes layers of cake-y makeup after a long day anyway?
  7. Jack Wills Levisham Lip Balm: It's a British lip balm that glides on creamy and smells like strawberry. What's not to like? Slather it on before bed.
  8. Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream: That's a mouthful! Apply in the morning before makeup and in the evening before bed. It's never too early to use anti-aging products and the skin around your eyes is the thinnest so give it some love. You'll wake up looking like a 21 old - kidding!
Short and sweet - that's how I like it.
What do you use, beauties - any gems I need to know about? xo
