People often joke that Valentine's Day is a Hallmark holiday. By and large…it is but why not enjoy it for what it is? I've never met a gal who didn't swoon over pink and red accessories or, for that matter, a guy who didn't enjoy the excuse to eat a fancy dinner out. Like I said, what's not to love?

A love affair with dresses.

I picked up this dress in December because dresses are my jam. I'm sure you're shocked at this new revelation. It was reasonably priced back then - much to my chagrin, I returned two items yesterday @ Topshop and this dress is now on super sale to the tune of a whopping $40. Darn it. This is the time of year where I completely struggle with fashion. I am not invigorated to wear brights and I am totally tired of wearing denim. Grunge.

Lately I've been wanting to change up my usual sartorial choices. Sometimes I don't feel my inner girlie girl. For this look, I wanted to punch it up with a textured, layered look. My cami is faux leather and could definitely be worn alone, however; I thought it would be fun to add an extra layer of warmth rather than put it on reserve for warmer temps. My boots are from Zara. I reach for them constantly and I love the way they look with tights and dresses, too.
