How much growth can you handle?

Today I do not feel like I want to post about fashion. Today is one of those Truth Tuesday posts. I've been reflecting quite a bit about all the change 2017 has brought. Some of it has been pretty fabulous while others have been quite stressful. With only two months to go, I can safely say that 2017 was not one of my favorite years and the word on the street is that many people feel the same. 2017 was a year of change.

Thursday loves.

It's funny how Fall emerges and within 24 hours...it's like majorly over in Chicago. This weekend they are talking temps in the 40's. My lord I am not ready for this. I was really enjoying pumpkins but hey...bring on the velvet, right? My husband literally just called me to secure holiday outings with his family this morning and I am a little baffled by it all but I will tell what I am looking forward to...HOLIDAY SHOPPING.

Alma mater.

Attending a college football game 17 years after the fact is a completely different experience. Dare I say - I felt old but I was really glad to be through all the trials and tribulations of my 20's. 

My husband and I attended the Iowa/Northwestern game with friends this past weekend and I joked that this was my tailgating attire. It may not have been school gear but I did represent in t-shirt colors!

The Money Pit: this ol' office.

I think it's safe to say that the one eyesore in our house was the office. Really, I spend the most time in it and it's my domain. It didn't know what it wanted to be other than vanilla walls and a really bad paint job coupled with horrible blue carpet with stains from the kids and muddy feet. It was slightly maddening but it wasn't a priority...until now.
