When you look at me, you probably thing "DANGER." I know. I totally get it. Suburban mom in black. Watch out!

In all honesty, I love an all black ensembles. It's the young girl longing to be a New Yorker in me that never quite dissolved. Coulda, shoulda, woulda right? It's cool. I am at one with it but that doesn't mean I have to give up my passion for black fashion. I purchased this dress three years ago and it continues to be a constant in my wardrobe. It was a Rachel Zoe that I invested in and it stands as my go-to time and time again. When the leaves fall, I reach for this dress and it's a bit like seeing an old friend for the first time. It just fits. 

My black moto was a gift from the hubby that I wear constantly. Everyone should have one and I linked mine below. Finally, the sock booties were a recent purchase because I love the trend and for a mere $59...these burnt orange boots offer up the perfect color pop to my wardrobe.

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
