When it comes to little lady dresses...I am rendered useless. Just absolute mush. I melt for my girls in dresses and it just so happens that Easter is around the corner, my friends! Meet Pippa & Julie: you're go-to source for the most darling dresses ever!
You won't encounter any fights from your littles, either. My girls were DYING to wear these dresses...so we did. A test run if you will - just because we felt like dressing up. Olivia is wearing the Lauren dress and Lola is wearing the Berry Burnout dress. I am guessing we will be wearing these on Sunday, too. They are all washed up and ready to go. Frankly, I die when I see them all dolled up. I know it's only going to be a little bit longer that my girls will allow me to control their sartorial choices. Why not have fun with it?
Pippa & Julie dresses are reasonable, too. Both of mine were under $50! An entire bevy of colors, textures and patterns, too. What are you waiting for? Let's get dressed up!

Another Monday. Another chance to create something good, right?!
Well, Olivia and I certainly kicked it off on the right foot considering we found this Cheshire Cat wall in the city. My pictures are not traditionally technicolor but when you see a good wall...you just gotta.
I am so excited about some of the changes that we have in the works for this little blog. My web designer and I were conferencing about it on Friday. Let's just say it's going to be more minimalist, more content driven and hopefully, a lot more sophisticated to lead me through this next chapter in life. Ideally, with age comes wisdom, hence I am driven to round out some of the content buckets...even the taboo ones.
Good morning! I am back! Happy New Year!
We had a wonderful trip to Captiva, Florida where we literally unplugged and relaxed. It was vacationing done right and in part, due to the fact that I literally walked away from electronics and I was present with my family. What a difference and lesson learned! I am feeling totally recharged, inspired and ready to tackle some new and exciting changes around these parts.
There's nothing like a good bodycon dress that hugs you in all the right places. I had my eye on this one for what felt like an eternity. You can always count on a sale at ASOS so I waited. I finally pulled the trigger right before Thanksgiving...the price tag? A whopping $62. Now? $25! How could you possible resist?!
It's safe to say that I have gotten my ROI out of this dress. At a whopping $26, I've worn it for countless meetings, Thanksgiving and now this shoot. Sure, I should be wearing tights given that it's December in Chicago but we were indoors. Shooting outside, as I've gotten older, has become less and less attractive to me. Bah!
I don't know a singular woman who doesn't love a good deal. Myself included. This dress is under $50 and on mega sale due to the impending holidays. I think it would be equally cute with a pair of black tights and mary janes...in the summer, with espadrilles or platforms.
I've always been somewhat of a skeptic regarding Cyber Week. Or perhaps just not ready to get my holly jolly on. I would shop sporadically all month and go at my own pace. I feel differently this year. Honestly, I think it's because I ready to celebrate the end of a very difficult year. The ups and downs were tremendous so holiday shopping and the holiday spirit seem like something I can rally around.
The black and white phase continues. It's just SO easy to get dressed. I know you all discovered this before me so please forgive. This was yesterday's shoot outfit for a day of schlepping without sacrificing chic.
Monday...we meet again! Hi friends! Back at it again after a busy weekend. I think we are all feeling the same, right? It was full but it was so great. Mom + Dad got a little date night fun in and we pretty much laid around all Sunday. Okay, that was me. I laid around all Saturday. #truth
When you look at me, you probably thing "DANGER." I know. I totally get it. Suburban mom in black. Watch out!
In all honesty, I love an all black ensembles. It's the young girl longing to be a New Yorker in me that never quite dissolved. Coulda, shoulda, woulda right? It's cool.
