Windy City.

They don't call it the Windy City for nothing! Actually, the wind, as in the weather, has nothing to do with our beloved name but that's a different story for a different day! Let's talk about this dress! We are well into the infatuation phase. Yup, we move fast!

I am obsessed with the bright pop of neon and the deep V back. It's everything I could want in a summer dress and more! I suppose this would make me a very simply human being but hey, so be it! At least it's not another off-the-shoulder, right?

The second best part of this dress? It makes you look like a bronzed goddess which I will happily take any given day. The sun and I are not friends...I wish this weren't the case but life goes on.

These plaid dandy's are a Faryl Robin favorite from last summer. I was so happy to break them out again. They remind me of fruit loops! 

I hope you guys have some amazing plans on the books for this holiday weekend! I know I've been running like a chicken this week which explains the timing of this post but I couldn't leave it out! In a nutshell, I woke up @ 4:30am and drove into the city for an entertainment segment followed by a client photo shoot followed by conference calls and a very special mermaid shoot which I will share with you later! So much to be grateful for but for now, I'll take a big glass of pinot noir tonight.

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern.
