If you follow my 101 things i love Facebook page, you know my affinity for a good daily deal. I share one every evening. Or at least I try! (if you're not, like my page to see items ranging from great sweaters to heels at great prices) Well, today is a special exception because while we might be closing the books on January...we're still in the throws of winter.
...and if you're an Instagram junkie like myself, you've probably started to see these chunky knit blankets all over. Sure, they are great for styling you're latest beauty finds for that Instagram-worthy shot but let's be honest, the real purpose is to SNUGGLE. Have you seen anything more amazing or cozy? I think not!
I've linked my favorites above. I purchased the second image in a muted, light gray and I CANNOT wait for it to arrive. Truthfully, it was poor planning because I really need it for Super Bowl Sunday. Am I right or am I right?
The only thing I am not certain of is the washability of these throw blankets. It's made out of merino wool hence I think you have to be very delicate with the giant weaves. I will be using mine as a throw at the foot of our bed so that little hands don't spill purple Gatorade on it. (that just happened this morning on my faux fur throw blanket, btw)
Just thought I'd share my latest obsession. Fashion is fun but that doesn't mean my shopping tendencies don't stray to decor every once in awhile. Enjoy and Happy Shopping!
Summer is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier. Summer means more outside time and more family time. No matter how much time we spend outside, everyone, myself included, needs a moment to themselves. I call it “quiet time” and I’ve trained my girls to take an hour everyday.

Gift giving has arrived my friends! When I think of the items I use daily, the absolute necessities in life, they are often brilliant inventions that have a practical function in my life. Believe it or not, they aren't shoes or dresses, they're items that help me function as a parent, a host, an entertainer...you know, an overall renaissance woman of sorts. Totally kidding!
This post is coming at you late for a number of reasons - two of which happen to be: 1. I drank a bottle of wine last night (oops! - summer, it's your fault) and 2. this week is off to a nutty start. I feel like everyone just returned from Memorial Day and needs everything...NOW!
What inspires you? Is it the energy you receive after attending a great event? Is it a piece of art? Is it googling inspirational quotes? Is it random acts of kindness? Is it reading a new #girlboss piece on your favorite site?
Gettin' real with ya folks. Today you're going to see a bunch of "before's." We're nearing the end of our master bedroom renovation so I thought I would give you an update. It's been ages since we took on a huge project. And for good reason...it's a mess and this fashionista can't stand disorder.
It seems like our social calendar is picking up and with it, a real brain-buster problem: what's a cool hostess gift?
We're a little tired of gifting the proverbial bottle of wine which got me thinking...what would I want for a hostess gift?
Something unique, whimsical and practical. Those are generally good traits to have in your gift-giving abilities. More importantly, something to remember you by - after all, we want that second and third invitation back to the fun couple's house.
The Money Pit Series is back! This round is all about my baby turned big girl. Lola finally kicked her crib to the curb and upgraded to this bright, whimsical bed that our entire family just adores.
We now gravitate to her room because of the warmth her room evokes. It's amazing what a bed does for a little girl. Lola is so proud of her room that she actually wanders upstairs when no one is noticing just to sit and read books. Something that really warms a parent's heart, I tell ya.
Morning friends! Ironic that just yesterday I wrong about "doing it all" and today's post is just now going live. Oy. #bloggerproblems.
Today I'm sharing a few snaps from our backyard Halloween party last weekend. We invited all of our friends, kids or sans kids, to soak up the 70 degree weather and basically...eat a lot of crap food. Pretty much a perfect day for me but we'll table my junk food addictions for another day.
Enjoy and Happy Halloween to you! Be Safe!
October is my spirit month. If you're new to the blog...Halloween is my Christmas. As my girls get older and we forge relationships with new families through school or the neighborhood - I'm finding myself hosting more impromptu get together's...which I love!
I'm a sucker for the planning and the little details that go into making a neighborhood happy hour an epic night. And yes, that's with children, too.
Due to my strong affinity for the season, I thought I'd share my top five tips to hosting an impromptu soiree without breaking a sweat. Tip: It's easier than you think!
