Five Winter Steals & Splurges: meet Alexa of The Short and the Sweet of It

I love Alexa's blog for lots of reasons. It's loaded with inspirational photos and graphic elements that are easy on the eyes. I especially love her outfit collage boards. Like this one. It's a Cali girl's collection of the best things in life: great recipes, colorful fashion posts, sweet DIY ideas and beautiful photography. Not a bad way to start out your Monday, eh? And here's the icing on the cake...like all bloggers from the Winter Steals and Splurge series; she's a real sweetheart which makes supporting her blog something I look forward to. Meet Alexa!

Splurges and Steals
Hello lovely readers of 101 things i love! It's Alexa from the Short and the Sweet of It and I'm so happy that Johanna asked me to participate in her Five Winter Splurges and Steals series.

Winter might be my second favorite season (fall is my first). But I just love bundling up in cute tights and fashionable scarves, so bring on the cold I say. (Of course I live in San Diego, so perhaps cold is all relative). Anyway I would LOVE this Ruffle coat from Anthropologie because of it's gorgeous rust color and the feminine detailing around the neck. If only it wasn't $150.

I love anything Kate Spade, I mean who doesn't right? And I have a special place in my heart for yellow. This adorable little white and yellow Kate Spade striped scarf would look lovely and bright this winter. What's not so lovely and bright: the $148 price tag.

I am not a huge lipstick fan actually, but I've been jumping on the red lips bandwagon as of late and I would be thrilled to put on a little Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture for a pop of color. For $30 I don't know...but it's hard to resist.

Absolutely adore this Target Tote hand bag, and it would fit my laptop and all of Mila's crazy baby toys. Best part is: it's $20!

This last one I actually own and I love them. Cute little Urban Outfitters knee high tights, that I pretty much wear every.single.day. And they are $9.99. Can't beat it!

Thanks again Johanna for having me over at your sweet little spot in the blogging world! Don't forget to come visit me and Kirby at the Short and the Sweet of It! xo

Thanks Alexa! I'm lovin' those knee high tights...would be cute with your Anthro jacket, no? xo
