Two ways to wear it...and what to store and send off in 2014!

It's winter which means cooler temps and perfecting the fine art of layering. At least if you're a Midwestern girl that is! Fear not, today's post is all about evaluating what's lurking in that closet of yours and gettin' your winter wardrobe in tip-top shape!

Let's start with What to Wear! I've taken one staple trend and given you day and night looks which I am guessing you may already have in your closet. Highly likely.

First up: the wrap cardigan
By day: cozy and easy to throw on with jeans for errands. Best accessory: your most-worn-in gray tee
By night: a compliment to fitted leather jeans and sleek booties for a movie date. Best accessory: a statement bag

Next up: the animal print sweater
By day: mix prints and patterns and impress your peers at the Monday board meeting. Best accessory: your Warby Parkers
By night: pair a sleek pencil skirt and your sexiest sandals for a round of speed dating. Best accessory: a pair of killer pumps

Next up: the sequin separate
By day: sequins + Chuck Taylors = Saturday morning pedicure perfection. Best accessory: Vanity Fair
By night: add a pop of color and your smallest clutch. Best accessory: a stack of bangles

Now you know how to revive your winter wardrobe...how about what to store? That's easy. If you can't layer it and it screams summer hues; roll it, seal it and pack it away!
Finally, it's time to purge. Here's what you should consider sending off. If you've outgrown the trend, the size or the garment looks beat up - drop your goods off at your local Goodwill. We all know someone who needs it.

...and guess what? You'll have more room in that big 'ol closet for new winter staples!
