Casual holiday elegance.

The holidays can be so fancy that often, by Friday, I crave denim and a paired down version of my traditional uniform. Sometimes I have so many fancy separates that it's difficult for me to compose a basic outfit. Which is downright silly given that I have a gazillion basics just sitting in my closet! Ahhhh the life of a blogger!  

As long as you have a great pair of jeans than make you feel good on the inside and out...you have 50% of the style success recipe. These jeans are from Zara this season and I wear them about 4x's a week.  

My top is from SheIn and is under $30. It's a total style steal and everyone is in love with the dramatic sleeves. Can't say I blame them. It's festive and unique...a statement top, if you will.  

The rest of my outfit is comprised of the basics. A slammin' pair of nude heels. Invest in these! And a cute clutch for an added pop of color.

Spring is a time for new beginnings. And there are so many in comparison to last year’s Spring. While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
