I remember reading fashion mags growing up and elite celebrities, style mavens, socialites and models would share their one key closet staple which was typically a classic, white button down shirt or a strong, tailored blazer. And I remember thinking to myself as I rolled my eyes, "How boring." Fast forward 20 years later and I have become that girl.

Before I gravitated towards loud prints and color and while I still enjoy a fun pop of color...I now gravitate to black and neutrals. Does age manifest boring style? Perhaps but I sure can mix and match quite a bit in my closet these days! Furthermore, you cannot go wrong with a black, structured blazer. I found mine on Mango after spying it on Damsel in Dior and it was love at first sight. By far, one of my best Spring purchases. I pop the collar and wear it with everything and it's a fantastic layering piece for travel no matter what you're wearing.

It's a known fact that a classic blazer will make you look as put together as a swipe of red lipstick. So what are you waiting for? Shop my exact look below!
