This burning red tree sits at the entrance of our neighborhood and I quickly decided last week that it needed an outfit post. The colors are too fantastic to pass up this time of year…especially in the Midwest.

As we approach Halloween, I find myself wanting to pump the brakes because I am not ready for Christmas trees at all! Am I alone in this?

That said, here are four, fun activities to book before the snow hits. Explore your city more!

  1. Book a staycation and explore a new(ish) neighborhood.

  2. Make a reservation for a GNO with friends…free of interruption!

  3. Spend a Sunday in baking with your littles. Your house will smell divine.

  4. Come kickoff the holiday season with me at Illuminate 900. The more the merrier!

Also! If you are a lover of clean, feminine pieces like my layered necklaces and bracelet stack - check out my friend, Rachel, who happens to be an entrepreneur behind Rachel Lynn Chicago. I wear her pieces daily and if you are ready to get your gift on…shop her site and receive 25% off all pieces when using the code JOHANNA. Enjoy!
